Mrs. Aimee Wathey

Hello! My name is Aimee Wathey, and I am beginning my twenty-first year of teaching at Christ the Teacher and my fifth year as our school librarian. Before becoming the librarian, I taught fourth grade for eleven years and PreK 4 for five years. I am certified in Delaware for Elementary Grades K–6 and Early Childhood/Primary K–4, with more than 24 years of experience.

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I attended Ohio University, where I earned my degree in Elementary Education. I also taught first and second grades in the Diocese of Pittsburgh before moving to Delaware with my husband, Tom.

I have been part of the CTTCS community as both a teacher and parent since the school opened in 2002. My three children, Meghan, Tyler, and Lauren, are CTT graduates.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, reading, traveling, and attending concerts. I am excited to be on this learning journey with you and your children! Christ the Teacher is a very special place, and I feel truly blessed to be part of this community.
