Mrs. Vanessa Becker

Hello! My name is Vanessa Becker, and I have been the School Secretary at Christ the Teacher Catholic School since the spring of 2025, and I am so grateful to be part of such a wonderful school family.

My journey to working in a school setting has taken a unique path. I began my education at Cecil College, where I earned my Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN), and later completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at Wilmington University. I worked as a Registered Nurse for 10 years in the Christiana Emergency Department and also spent four years teaching in the nursing program at Cecil College.

In 2020, I decided to step away from nursing to become a stay-at-home mom. Both of my children attended CTTCS from Pre-K3 through eighth grade, which gave me a strong connection to the school and its community. In 2021, I began substituting at CTTCS and quickly fell in love with the school, the students, and the wonderful community. When the School Secretary position became available, I knew it was the perfect opportunity for me to continue being a part of the CTTCS family.

Outside of school, I enjoy watching my daughter play sports, playing pickleball, and relaxing by the pool with my family. I am incredibly proud to be part of the amazing CTTCS community and look forward to another wonderful year serving our students, families, and staff!
